Sterling Silver Whisky Quaich & Collectibles

Stags Head Edinburgh Silver Quaich

At House of Labhran - Fine Scottish Highland Wear & Vintage Kilt Accessories, our love for silver whisky accessories is deeply rooted in our location in the heart of Malt Whisky Country,

Speyside. One of our prized treasures is the Silver Whisky Quaich & Collectibles. The quaich, a shallow two-handled drinking cup or bowl, holds a special place in Scottish tradition, particularly in the Highlands.

Its name, derived from Scottish Gaelic cuach, embodies the rich history and heritage of Scotland. Originally popularized in the late 17th century, the quaich gained fame in prominent cities like Edinburgh and Glasgow. The skilled Scottish provincial silversmiths from guilds such as Inverness and Perth adorned early wooden treen quaichs with exquisite silver craftsmanship.

At House of Labhran, we proudly offer a range of Edinburgh's finest sterling silver quaichs, meticulously hand-crafted by the esteemed Royal warrant holder, Hamilton & Inch.

Additionally, we curate an assortment of antique and vintage whisky quaichs, whisky noggins, and Scottish provincial silver quaichs, alongside charming horn whisky cups. Our collections encompass the very essence of Scottish whisky heritage, offering discerning connoisseurs and collectors a tantalizing array of options to cherish.

Perfect for enjoying your favourite single malt dram.

Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival

First launched in 1999, the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival's annual celebration of Scotland's national drink has developed into one of the largest events of its kind anywhere in the world. With a programme of over 700 whisky-inspired events over 6 days, the Festival has something to offer the curious beginner and the whisky connoisseur alike.

Festival events take place throughout Speyside, the biggest whisky producing region in Scotland, located in the Moray area in the North-East of the country between Aberdeen and Inverness.

Event venues are as varied as the experiences on offer - distilleries old and new, charming village halls, local whisky bars, historic castles, old steadings and the great outdoors – each guaranteeing an authentic experience.

With activities taking place from Elgin in the North, Kingussie in the South to Keith in the East and Forres in the West, following the length of the River Spey to the sea (one of National Geographic's 'greatest coastlines'), the Festival brings this renowned whisky region to life as visitors from 38 countries are welcomed, and greeted by locals as old friends.
