Antique WW1 Seaforth Highlanders Canada Pipers - Sgt - RSM Plaid Brooch

A rare pattern we think made in Scotland during WW1. Using the post-1881 sergeant’s hair sporran badge (and also adopted for wear by the officers of the Canadian Seaforth Highlanders ).

We have been informed that there is a plaid brooch pattern in the same form as this one in the Seaforth Highlanders Canada museum. That pattern is similar to this one and was for the pipers and RSM of the Cadet Battalion which date to the inter-war period.

White metal with good back pin

Size approx 106mm
