Based on the original Seaforth Highlanders this pattern plaid brooch has been used by the Pipe Major of the Queens Own Highlanders – The Highlanders – 4 Scots Royal Regiment of Scotland
Featuring a stags head on the plaid brooch. This Pipe Major’s pattern has the Highlanders thistle in the centre at the top and the scroll with the regimental motto below.

Prior to 28 March 2006, the Highlanders was an infantry regiment in its own right; The Highlanders (Seaforth, Gordons and Camerons), part of the Scottish Division. The regiment was one of only two in the British Army with a Gaelic motto – Cuidich ‘n Righ which means “Help the King”
