We have hand crafted this Culloden style sporran for clients using an original vintage pattern brass cantle. The cantles are all hand crafted in Scotland solid brass from an vintage cantle pattern.
The antiqued style leathers for the classic pouch that is available in the plain vintage style leathers, or hand aged in our studio to start building up a patina of age. The cantle has an under scalloped under slip with studded edge design also based on a vintage sporran pouch design.
Please note with the due to hand crafted nature of the cantles and the hand aging of the leather, there can be slight variations in each sporran. Please email to discuss your requirements.

A Sporran is a pouch (Scottish Gaelic for ‘purse’). Now a decorative part of Highland dress, it was originally an everyday practical item. Made of leather or fur, it usually has more or less elaborate silver or other ornamentation, especially on the clasp or hanger. It is worn on a chain or belt around the waist, allowing the sporran to lie below the waist of the person wearing a kilt.
