Scottish Hand Aged 1910 Pattern Brown Leather Sporran
Based on an original circa 1910 sporran we had in our collection, this exquisite piece has been meticulously handcrafted to capture the essence of the historical design. The antiqued leathers used for this classic pouch undergo a careful aging process in our studio, gradually developing a unique patina over time. It is important to acknowledge that due to the hand aging technique applied, variations in colours and tones can occur, imparting each sporran with its own distinct character.

A Sporran is a pouch (Scottish Gaelic for ‘purse’). Now a decorative part of Highland dress, it was originally an everyday practical item. Made of leather or fur, it usually has more or less elaborate silver or other ornamentation, especially on the clasp or hanger. It is worn on a chain or belt around the waist, allowing the sporran to lie below the waist of the person wearing a kilt.
